My Senses Poem From Surfing

Senses poem
I could smell the fresh and salty air from the beach.
I could smell the fresh food from the cafe across the road.
I could smell the wetsuit filled with water.

I could see lots of dogs, even a pug!
I could see people, shells and rocks.
I could see a boat in the distance.
I could see the sun glistening on the water.

I could feel the sharp sea shells scratching against my feet, I could feel the sand between my toes, my feet sinking into the sand. I could feel the sharp pain in my tailbone as I fell off the board, when I thought the ground was not close, but it was.
I could feel the water dripping from the wetsuit.
I could feel the wind when I stand up on my board.
I could feel the fear as I walked through the cave, thinking it would collapse like a cake collapse as a spoon went through.

I could taste the salty water when the waves came and splashed me, I could taste the sand when I fell off the board.
I could taste salt as I breathed in.

I could hear the dogs barking, the waves crashing against my board and my body when I fell off.
I could hear the water bouncing around like a ball bouncing.
I could hear the rocks filling in the cave as I run through it.

I did my dream goal, I am proud, I am happy and if I could I would do it all over again!

  2. Hey Paige
We liked the describing words you used in your poems. It was really cool to see that you have used all the right punctuation in your sentences.
    Kind regards
