Birthday Trip To Australia Report

Birthday Trip To Australia

This October, Nanna and Grandad bought Mum and I tickets to visit the Gold Coast, Australia for my 13th birthday and for my Mum’s 40th.

The Gold Coast is one of the most visited places in Australia. The Gold Coast is just south of Brisbane on the east coast. It is home to the theme parks Dreamworld, Sea World and Wet’n’Wild.

Mum and I stayed at Neptune Resort, just across the road from Pacific Fair. (Pacific Fair is a really big shopping mall.)  It felt very safe because when you have just put your car away or putting recycling in the bin you have to scan your key card to get back into the elevator. You had to use your key card to get in and out of the pool. When it is nighttime and everyone is asleep you have to use your key card to get back into the resort. We had our own apartment it was the size of a small house or cottage. With the pool, you had to go down the elevator to ground level then go through a door that you don’t have to unlock to get in but it locks behind you and through a gate that you have to unlock to get in and out. What a mission!
When we were there mum and I went to three special places that are only found in the Gold Coast. Two of them were theme parks and one of them was a wildlife sanctuary. Movie World:  is a really fun place it has all the superheroes and the looney tunes. There are lots of fun and scary rides, Scooby Doo ride is my favourite because it is scary and it goes fast in one part were the corners are really sharp.
Sea World: Is another wonderful place because it has rides and lots of sea animals. There are polar bears, sharks, stingrays and lots more.  I loved the sharks because they are fascinating creatures and I also loved the sting rays because you can tach them and they are really slimy.
Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary. I loved this place so much because of all of the amazing animals. I got to hold a barking owl, a black headed python, a koala, a baby crocodile and an eagle that was really heavy. I also loved looking at the tasmanian devils they are my favorite animals.
I have got lots of cousins in Australia from my mum’s side. My most favourite cousin is Bronwyn. She has three kids they are also my cousins but I love Bronwyn the most!
From dusk till dawn fruit bats came out. They were amazing they were probably 2 or 3 feet from your head! They were also really big. They didn’t really make a sound but if you looked up and saw these big black weird shaped mammals you know they are bats because of their pointy ears.
