Is My story True of False?

We had to make a story about if the story is true of false. Please leave a comment which one you think is right is it true or is it false. I will post another post saying if it's true of false.

True or False..?
On Wednesday the 27th to Friday the 29th I went to Kaikoura for my Mum's work.  On Wednesday we had to leave at 8 o'clock in the morning and Wednesday was a very long busy day for me. On Thursday for the whole day the students went out to the forest and two of the students stayed back at the field station because they had sore knees. On Thursday I went down to the rocks to find some starfish and awesome rocks.  When I came back out of the rocks to cross the road a lady said “Look in the water there are dolphins playing”. In the deep blue sea in the distance I could see splashes. I said to myself there are dolphins playing in the water. It was amazing to look at. I thought to myself only if I could swim with dolphins that would be breathtaking. Then I turned around to cheek for cars, with no cars coming I cross the road. I was back at the field station where I was staying because the rocks were just across the road.  When I got back inside I told Mum that there were dolphins playing out in the water, she came over and had a look, she was amazed! An hour had passed and the dolphins weren't playing any longer.

The students left at 7am in the morning and they didn't come back till 6pm at night. It was 5 o'clock, one more hour till they came back, so I decided to go back over to the rocks. I came back just before the students arrived. It was Friday the day we were going to leave. After Mum had packed the car and served lunch we were out of there. We stopped at a mini golf place, there were 9 holes. Then we got some gas, got some lunch and went to the Seal Colony. I saw heaps of big seals. After an hour at the Seal Colony Mum decided we should start heading back home to Christchurch.

  1. I hope this writing is true because I love to think that you have these experiences. This is a wonderful recount. I would love to see you now adding a few adjectives to your writing so that you further illustrate how 'amazing' your experiences are. I really enjoyed reading this especially since I was in Kaikoura during the last school holidays and I think it is a wonderful seaside town with great walks and wildlife.

Thank you sharing your experiences. I look forward to your next blog post.

    1. Very much true :) For the last few years I need to go there for work as well as Cass and I'm lucky enough Paige can come with me (lucky for her too).. The UC field station is right on the waters front, so sitting on our bunk beds we could look straight out onto the ocean and see the splashes from the dolphins it was amazing! So love the field courses to Kaikoura not everyday you can say you spend your lunch break watch dolphins and seal pups play :)
